Mets outfielders are starting to awaken at the plate.

Juan Lagares extended his hitting streak to 13 games while hitting .400 (8-for-20) with four doubles in the Rockies series.

Curtis Granderson hit .375 (6-for-16) with a homer and five RBIs in Denver.

Chris Young hit .438 (7-for-16) with three RBIs in the series.

“They’re producing, for sure -- scoring runs, driving runs in,” David Wright said. “They played good defense all year, but for them to swing the bats the way that they’re swinging it, it makes our offense completely different as far as the dynamic.”

Said Terry Collins: “We hit the ball pretty good that whole series out there.”

We need to take 2 out of 3!

Grandy and Young keep their bats going, we can really pick up some wins!

I thought it was dumb of TC to keep EY out of the lineup for the 1st 3 games against Colorado...(other than to PH).
The dude is a natural table setter in that leadoff spot and is a base stealer, and although Lagares more than held his own since being activated....history proves players look forward to playing and do well against their former clubs.

* Last night he was actually in the starting lineup, but was a late scratch due a pregame batting cage freak accident...New York Mets' Eric Young Jr. has bruised cheekbone - ESPN New York

Thank goodness he's good to go tonight.

And like clockwork, Warthen visits the mound after b2b walks by Dice-K and all hell breaks loose......lol
Q. botches a tailor made DP.....
Farnswoth keeps it a 3-3 tie. works out of major trouble
German isn't ready for this level......neither is Collins imho.
Mets lose 4-3, in embarrassing fashion.
Ughhhhhhh

That was a bad game to lose. They were in charge, they had the chances to bury them and they let it slide. Need to win that game.

On a positive note, Niese is looking like Mr. Dependable once again. He deserved better.
