I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota that I just restored with a new engine and transmission and suspension... time to do the sound system as I only use the truck for pulling a trailer on long trips and the stock infinity sound system paper speakers are blown and the stock head unit is pretty much garbage.
Going to dynamat the doors for road nose and to tighten up the bass..... Its been a long time since I did a car audio system so I really hope I don't fuck it up because I dropped about 15OO bucks into it.
My build list is as follows...
dynamat bulk sound deadening kit... $150
Head Unit: Alpine CDE-HD149BT $250
Fronts: Alpine SPR-60 Component $150
Rears: Alpine SPR-60 Coaxial $100
Amp: Alpine PDX-V9 5 Channel 100wX4 speakers 500wX1 sub $500
Wire Kit: 4 Guage EFX amp wire kit $50
speaker and RCA cables: Street Wire $50
Sub Enclosure:QLOGIC QL-C1DDX108 replaces under rear seat storage and holds one 8" subwoofer $150
Subwoofer: Kicker 40CWR84 CompR 8" Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofer 400watt RMS $100
Everything comes on monday and tuesday and I start on Wednesday....
