You can thank the government subsidized Boston Terrorists for this new, in-stadium rule.

Dear Patriots Season Ticket Holder,

On June 13th the NFL announced a new policy related to the type of bags that will be allowed into the NFL stadiums. This policy will become effective with the start of the 2013 NFL season, and the details of the policy are outlined below.

(Pre-approved bag Description)

* Bags that are Clear (see-through) plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 12" x 6"
* One-gallon clear (see-through) plastic freezer bag
* Small clutch bags not to exceed 7"x 4" x" 2" (approximately the size of a hand) with or without a handle strap.

Prohibited items include: Non see-through purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, brief-cases (for all SportsHoopla guys), backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind (I always bring luggage to the Pats games), seat cushions, computer bags, and camera bugs larger than permissible size.

This was announced a bit ago, but I'm all for it. You really have no need to bring anything into the stadium, and choosing to protect the fans is an easy one.
