I have a co-worker originally from Nebraska. When he told me that was his states slogan I thought he was joking.

You cant just say that looking at the box score and w/l column. Mike Riley was fired but the damage was already done.

Last year the first 6 games we had players who didnt want to be on the team and didnt want to put in the work, holdovers from riley's time here. There was a clear difference in the way the players performed and behaved on the field once those who didnt want to do the work were gone. That is why the last 6 games were 4-2 and was very competitive.

The mistakes started early with calihan it started in the administration and got into everything. We have that corrected, took a lot of fuckery to get to where we are cant expect 1 year to completely turn it around under frost, even though he will now have over 100+ players he recruited to the team

Blo Pelini mind fucked the players that the perennial loser Mike Riley inherited. A recipe for disaster.
As I pointed out Noah Fant (TE) is an Omaha, NE kid. 1st round NFL (#20 overall) draft pick. Riley offered him to play (DE) at Nebraska. Nebraska kids grow up wanting to play for Nebraska. Unless of course the coach is an idiot who doesn't recognize (TE) talent when he sees it. Kid wanted to play (TE), so he went to Iowa where KF said "hell yeah, you can play TE here, son".

Frost will get things turned around. He's an X's and O's guy. He also knows what does and doesn't work at Nebraska. i.e. Bill Callahan and Mike Riley 'pro-style' offenses don't work at Nebraska.
Pelini had the right style, but was a rabid (foam at the mouth) idiot who didn't pay attention to detail and couldn't teach.

I can only speak for my goofy little section of CO. but I've met plenty of CU fans that somehow think the Huskers are their rivals. Am I missing something? The all time series 49-19-2. That's not a rivalry. That's getting slapped around by your neighbor.

Things can turn around quickly with the right coach, resources and fanbase. 2/3 of that nebraska definitely has, and with frost I think he'll get them there. Wouldn't surprise me if nebraska wins 10 this year.

10 is probably a stretch.

The cupboard was weak and void of talent when Frost took over last year. However, getting people lined up correctly, minimizing penalties, and strength and conditioning, make a world of difference in winning a few close games that would otherwise be lost.

That showed in the last 6 games of the season as compared to the first 6 games.

The right Coach is key. I thought we had seen it enough that everybody knows. John Blake at Oklahoma or Mike Shulla at Alabama wasn't going to make it happen.

I never thought Callihan or Pelini were the answer, but Frost, I get a different vibe from. I think he's the real deal. We'll see.
