If things hold and I play Nos, I would start Connie Hawkins at SF and use Carmelo as a scorer off the bench. Nos starts Dr J at SF, and for folks too young to remember, Hawkins was a 6'8'' version of Doc

Yeah, I like him too Nos. The little kids wanted to be Connie Hawkins too, they were just kids of the 60's, not kids of the 70's. Both guys were Hall of Famers and great athletes. They could be twins if Connie weren't taller

Comparing the two is foolish IMO. I'm a huge Hawk fan but he was real good for what 4 or 5 years, the good doctor was real good always. 30,000 points vs 11,000 isn't really much of a comparison. Mr. Erving is one of the 10 best players who ever played the game, Connie can't even smell the top 10.
Funny thing with that extra two inches Connie averaged half the block shots the doctor did.
Like I said i'm a big time Connie Hawkins fan but he's not in the same league as Julius Erving.
