My Computer Needs Tune-Up

I'm sure it has nothing to do with online pr0n usage or anything like that but my computer is in serious need of a tune-up. My mouse keeps sticking and iTunes keeps spitting static out during music playback and a couple of times a day the whole system freezes for a minute or so. MalwareBytes says I have no malware or viruses and I've already cleaned the registry but what next? Anyone got good recommendations? I figured all you sick mofos watching hours of Russian pr0n every day must have bullet-proof systems.

not very likely that it came from pr0n sites.. search for updated drivers for your mouse, problems with mouses are typically problems with the mouse itself and not the computer


as for itunes.. no idea, i have never had itunes or owned an apple product

this, the mouse is it's own driver device, if something has corrupted, or won't update, your mouse is screwed.

Oh and yeah, duno about the iTunes thing, I don't use that either.

Bit of advice, after you get this figured out only surf pr0n with Firefox in Private Browsing mode. Keeps a lot of the garbage from being collected or saved

Even better, use Opera where zero data is ever stored. No cookies, cache, history, nothing. Nothing stays on your computer and it's the only reason you use Opera.

Did you check it out first, look for reviews? A lot of those "clean up" utilities actually load a lot more crap onto your computer and cause more issues.

Reviews from cnet tend to be favorable for that one.

Oh man, the days of doing that are over for me. I used to build my own systems and format HD's all the time. No mas! I want simple now.

as long as you are not tied to some Windoze app this will do it:
Download Ubuntu Desktop | Ubuntu

and it's easy to install/configure from a flash drive

Just got mine back from a tune-up. Took 4 days. Seems to be faster.

What about a disk check?
Disk cleanup?
Also check out slimdrivers to get driver updates.

I like this TuneUp Utilities enough to buy it. Man, I had little or no expectations but it made tons of changes and everything is really fast again.
