Slight upgrade only if he doesn't get hurt for the umpteenth time in his career. Like the move, but doesn't make us a playoff team so we are still where we are in the end.

You'll never see me saying it makes us a playoff team.

By slight upgrade, I mean slight upgrade. Not trying to be ambiguous.

If you need further clarification, I'd say it improves the team 0.357%.

Worth noting that Young signed the 45 day waiver with his deal.

A lot of players do, from what I've read.

When they don't, they generally don't go crying to the press about it. Again, Wolf's argument was that he thought he pitched well enough in spring training to be a regular in the starting rotation and get the $1 million he was offered as an invitee to spring training. It's one of the most ridiculously cooked up "stories" I've seen in a long time. Thank god real baseball begins soon.

I am really shocked that Chris is still around and hope it works out to be a good thing for all involved. Saw him many times at Petco as well as a relief appearance at Single A Lake Elsinore one night. Like The Big Unit, he makes quite a spectacle on the mound at 6' 10".

He was amazing this year. I said in the opening post I thought he would be a very small improvement, but he was a huge part of the pitching staff's success. Nobody predicted that he would do so well.
