Even buck was lame by Lou's standards. Lou would have ran out and tore out second base and thrown it in the outfield before leaving.

I don't know why they keep saying a "stellar" outing for Felix. He got the W but against this team he sure the hell should get a W. Not that impressed with the "king".....

I mean it wasn't by any means his worst outing. He was pretty solid through 5 and got into trouble in the 6th. Our damned manager can't be bothered to take a guy out to limit damage and this time it didn't cost the team a win.

The team in general looked a bit on a post high level trip downer a bit. Kind of to be expected which is why I expect them to drop a game somewhere. I think it's going to take a few games to get back to the mindset they had before playing Boston at the Safe. I doubt we see the very best of any of the starters for a few more outings. The let down is entirely expected. Just hopefully they can keep winning through it.

Interesting tidbit on the O’Day balk. Apparently it happened before... with the same umpire behind the plate. With the same result with Showalter getting ejected.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.balt...o-day-stu-scheurwater-20180625-story,amp.html

O’Day needed to stop his motion before the pitch... he’s been warned before. This appears to be O’Day’s natural motion, just an odd time to call a balk unless he was warned.

Back to what I was mentioning last week about putting teams away when you have the chance. Had another opportunity to add more runs after they took the lead but again couldn’t do it. You get away with it against weak teams like Baltimore but not the elite teams. Should have been able to generate more with 10 walks but a win is a win I suppose

not a good game
for felix............but they won so he did his job
Didn’t seem like it. 3 walks and a hit batter. That 6th inning could have easily got away from him without some good defense

I mean it did count in the quality start category. At this point I'll take that from him without any complaints.

But Lou would have done it against the Yanks or Sox, he got tossed to light a fire, didn't do it when the Mariners were trash.

Hey dont take for granted playing bad teams it is very possible this train can crash I feel as long as you win the series you are in good shape over the course of the season. Beating all the bad or below .500 teams will win us around 95 games im guessing

Baseball is a finicky bitch. Yanks sweep M's then get swept by Rays. Just keep packing in Ws, however they come.

For the King you wouldn't get excited about that performance, but he's no longer the King and maybe they are indirectly acknowledging that reality.
