When I took my leave of absence from here earlier, I used twitter more. I listed my 3 trade hopes for the deadline. We got none of them of course, but here is what I had hoped for. Just one of the three was what I was asking for.

1- Salvador Perez - Split catching with Raleigh then let him DH on days he wasn't catching. If Santana was hot, play him at 1B when Perez DH'd and France to 2B.

2- Adolis Garcia - Love his arm, power, and physicality.

3- David Fletcher - Was out most of the year, but a perfect guy for the M's. Play him at 2B and see if he can regain his past years game which he has by evidence of what he is doing to us.

I wasn't expecting Soto, but more quality bats would have been nice.

Great win. Early and often offense and good pitching.

Adam Frazier has also been much better since July 1. Adding Haniger has been exactly as expected, and I'm sure he'll start adding some HRs here soon as his timing improves. Julio has quietly come down to Earth a bit since the break, but Haniger, Swaggerty, and Raleigh have helped pad that nicely. It certainly helps when 1 rookie doesn't have to completely carry the team.

Oh boy.....I told myself I was not going to be sucked into getting excited about this team's performance again this season only to be completely let down again like year after year. And what do you know???? I'm setting myself up again, like some others on here, to be f'd over again At least it's been fun watching some of the guys growing and doing some awesome things at the plate and on the field. You can't help but feel positive when they do their little dance after each W. Believe it or not, after 7 years of OTJ training, even Scotty boy is showing "some" signs of growth as a manager, but I still do not have the level of confidance with Jerry and Scott that I feel completely comfortable with, With all this said......GO MARINERS
