Leave off Dumb and Dumber and we agree. Unforgiven is actually my favorite movie.

There have been a few that I have gotten into that sort of "mode" over - for a while, anyways - down through the years. ATM, I would say the most likely candidates are:

any Terry Gilliam movie (this one pretty much never changes for me)
Almost Famous
Saving Private Ryan
Kingdom of Heaven
any decent Shakespeare adaptation (that I don't already own on DVD)

Excellent movies. I think Almost Famous is one of the best coming of age flicks extant. And we all know there are a blue million of them.
