Clarification please:

What is the definition of a career beginning? Is that MLB debut, or minors?

So what increase Bonds, Ruth, Clemens and A-Rod to $30?

If we increase them to 30 or higher I say we keep it at 250

I think Bonds $25 Clemens $25 ARod $25 Bambino $40 Cap $200

I think maybe no trading cap space in this one.

You have me on the list, but I wanted to verify I am in.

I think a slightly lower cap might be fun, but I don't really care as long as it is the same for all.

It is not the same for all. People who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in previous draft will have a $5m lesser cap then the rest of us.

Actually I think we should lower the Cap. I was thiking most of the players we take are gonna cost about $15 unless we really go after pre 1933 guys so we could potentially have a lineup that costs $130 that leaves at least $100 for rotation. Why even have a cap if we are gonna be able to have HOFers at every position, right?

Yeah you make a good point. It was a struggle trying to find a mix of great players with role players in the basketball draft. If we do $200 then that will essentially be $8.3 per player which is pretty good.

I agree. Babe should be held to the MJ standard even though we have 24 players in this draft.

$8.3 would mean HOF and only 3 all star appearances correct?

LOL.

I am much more knowledgable about basketball than baseball.

Take my cap space there, but I may need extra here! I know current players well, but he chances of me finding a quality role player before 1980 are slim to none.

I was starting a list and I am down to the $8 range. This is where there are a ton of guys but the HOF guys kinda drop off to a certain point.

You and I will be battling for Nats and Oriole players. I was a Orioles fan for 20 something years until 3 years ago where I joined my wife as a Nats fan. Was tired of Angelos never shelling out money for a starting pitcher every off season which they always needed to be great.

No, we are calling it the Ritz Rule... You can have 24 $0 players if you wish...

Shouldn't that be called the Oakland A's Billie Bean Rule :noidea:
