Looks like Crabtree is done for the year. SF will try to spin it differently, but any contribution from Crabtree won't happen at the earliest until December, if then.

Randy Moss or Terrell Owens? Please make your pick and state why!

May be inhumane, but I won't shed any tears over this. I'll quietly sit down and pretend I'm not smiling on the inside.

OK, let me cry a little :bawling:, OK I'm done. I wouldn't give a bag of beans for either of those guys and I don't think they will either. They will find a FA to work in. Hate to see anyone hurt but it happens.

Like anyone in the NFC West shed a tear for our Rams two years ago when we had all those injuries.

I don't want to sound harsh but they have been beating the odds with injuries for too long now, right?

I heard today that this injury alone puts Seattle fully in the drivers seat in the NFC West however if Wilson struggles, as so many QB's have in their Sophomore year, doesn't that leave the NFC West wide open?

The NFC West was wide open, anyway. Crabtree, or no Crabtree. After a full season of slurpin' the Seahawks' and 49ers' respective nutsacks, it's obviously going to take the media a while to figure that one out.

Give 'em a little time to catch up. ;)

Nice Caynine. Achilles ruptures are difficult to comeback from and he may be done. 18 months is the max so yea, he'll be sittin for awhile. Just ask Kobe and Chauncey Billups.

LOL!!! We lost Mark Clayton two years ago and Amendola twice for periods of time.

Steven Jackson takes it to the house against the Eagles in game one two years ago on his first carry and then has to miss multiple games.

Bradford had a bum ankle.

Your turn SF.

I feel a tear coming on.

Oh, I pick Moss also. Although it might be Brandon Lloyd in the end. It wouldn't surprise me if the Niner's use some of next year's picks on a Santonio Holmes or a Kenny Brit.

Lets see last year we lost Maningham, Kyle Williams, Kendall Hunter, Justin Smith, and Aldon Smith had a shoulder injury. I wouldn't say we have dodged the injury bug at all and no I don't expect any sympathy from any NFC West teams as I wouldn't have any if they lost any of their star players.

Carry on with the circle jerk gents.

49ers will re-tool with someone else. Besides even if they don't they still have Kap except when Harbaugh doesn't call his number next to the goal line in the big game. Will never lose sleep over one less 9er.

They wouldn't really be true 49er fans if they didn't demand a monopoly on drama.

Losing Crabtree certainly doesn't help the 49'ers, but they have other WR's who can catch the ball for now. Not real sure it will make much of a difference as the 49'ers couldn't beat the Rams last year with Crabtree and their chances are even less to do so this coming Season.

The 49'ers should be thankful they only have to play the Rams twice a year.
