Some milestones by Fins players on the verge of being reached:receiver Brian Hartline needs 75 yards in the final two games for his second straight 1,000-yard season.QB Ryan Tannehill needs just 373 yards to become the #Dolphins’ first 4,000-yard QB since Dan Marino in 1994.
This sunday, after our game v Buffalo, NE and BAL will face each other on CBS and it will be televised in the S.FLA market, just FYI.
Cincy will face Minnesota - at 1 PM, the game is in Cincy so I dont know if we will get that game on FOX or not… Hopefully coverage maps come out soon so we know for sure. I will create a thread, unless someone else wants to do it - To also follow those two games and keep up to date with how things are going. We can clinch it this week and hopefully we do.
Hate to say it but its probably best to cheer for the patsies this weekend as they won't lose to Buf at home the week after. This way the ravens are vulnerable gives the Fins more outs.
The officiating in the lions game was horrific again it almost feels like the refs lean towards certain teams but I don't get why they would want the ravens back. That hold in the endzone on the lion receivers arm was unbelievable..poor lions always get the shaft.
What a way for him to accomplish his dream to play in an NFL game! I'm really happy for the guy. He didn't get intimidated in the moment at all. He's a playmaker. It's good to have the starters back at CB this week & it's an extra bonus to have M Thomas on the roster to provide depth. I'm guessing the Fins will keep him on the team.
On another note: I found it curious that the Fins were able to get PR Thigpen being covered by LB Hightower on a TD play. I am wondering if it was a missed coverage or if it was just a great play call. I think the Fins were expecting the blitz & had the perfect play ready for the blitz.
I think the Fins will need to bring their A game to beat the Bills. The Fins will need to stop the Bills running game & establish their running game. If they do that, the Fins' willl be able to make some more plays in the passing game & will be one step closer to the playoffs.
Thad Lewis will start for the Bills vs Fins due to an injury to EJ Manuel - We let Thad Lewis off the hook the first time, CANT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN. Our defense needs to sack him multiple times and create multiple turnovers against this guy or it will be a disappointment of a performance.
#Dolphins practice report: CB Brent Grimes didn't practice due to a groin injury. RB Daniel Thomas (ankle) did not practice.#Dolphins Nolan Carroll (knee), Chris Clemons (knee, hamstring), Paul Soliai (ankle) and Jamar Taylor (hamstring) were all limited.
In practice, yes, the Fins are and will continue to rest guys that are banged up but you can be almost certain they will play on game-day.
Prior to the season, there was talk about the team wanting to be more up-tempo now that they had the weapons - As the season has gone on, those weapons have decreased for a reason or another as we know -- But, as one beat writer suggested, given how we let Thad Lewis and the Bills off the hook so easily the first game because of the fact we didnt keep our foot on the gas - Look for the Fins to play up-tempo early and often in this game and in the finale vs the NYJ.
I think we will give the up-tempo stuff a chance to start with to gauge how it is going to work for us in the game and adjust from there. Expect a lot of no huddle. Expect them to go for it on fourth down in the right situations. The Fins will leave it all on the field this weekend.. They will do it at all cost. And I like the fact that they are making it no secret. This speaks to the confidence the coaching staff has in itself and more so their players. This can only help the team. The Fins are trying to become that team you dont want to see come playoff time.
Still trying to figure out the coverage map for this week. I know we get the NE game after the Miami game but trying to see if we will get the Cincy v Minnesota game on Fox here who play at the same time we do.
It is fun to be in a position to score-board watch for a reason other than for fun.
