The Fins swept the Pats with Tua. He obviously has good chemistry with Waddle and other receivers. If he can beat that defense then I think they should consider building around him. If the Fins add a few of the top FA Olinemen then he may become a better down the field thrower with more time to throw. Also, the team could improve some in run blocking.

Herbert looks like a superstar yet they have the same record as the Fins. They also missed the playoffs. Football is a team sport.

At the end of the day the Fins were 1 win away from making the playoffs. I don't think they are that far off.

Brian Flores fired!

This is what happens when you continuously support the bum QB .

The goal is to make the playoffs and go as far as possible once in — being 1 win short is a failure , not an accomplishment.

Don’t get the firing at all. It’s not like they had a record similar to the Lions or anything.

When I looked at Flores' face during the game, I had this feeling that he had already been notified that he was getting fired. He did not look happy.
Ross is proving that he is an idiot!

Yeah, Ross is coming across like he doesn’t have a clue. I really think trading for Watson and his $35 million base salary would be a very bad move as you’re limiting what you can put around him and still don’t know the outcome of the accusations.

They need to fix the O so I'm ok with Daboll but would prefer Harbaugh or Pederson.

How about Vance Joseph as HC with an experienced OC and Oline coach?

I believe the Harbaugh pick is already done.
They cannot announce it yet.
They must pretend to interview for the position.....
You may be right as Ross tried to get him years back and they obviously get along very well. I'd be ok with it as he plays ball the way this team needs to in the AFCE. He'd fix the oline and use a run oriented offense. Tua would excel with this and allow them to build the rest of the team up with his low cap. I think Pederson would do the same but Ross will pick who he likes best.

I like the guy but they need an offensive minded HC or they'll just continue to spin their wheels. Joseph also seemed to be over his head in Denver that's why I worry about those young inexperienced guys. It's time for someone who's been there done it.

Word is Harbaugh wants to remain at the college level. At the moment, there is no reason to believe he will be the guy. In fact , the only conversation that Ross and Harbaugh have had is about a possible raise at Michigan .

In other news , add Leslie Frazier to the list of potential candidates expected to get an interview . Nathaniel Hackett and Bowels are the others rumored to be first in line for interviews .

On Vance Joseph — he showed us what he had as DC and HC — it really wasn’t much .

There are a number if good candidates. It doesn't have to be Joseph. Pederson could be a good choice. He has experience as a HC and would probably bring in good coaches.

The Fins have a history of bringing in first time HCs. I think that takes more time to improve and develop. That's why I don't mind "retreads" when they bring in experienced/ proven coaches.

Joseph is similar to Flores in that he has led great defenses. The Fins could still choose a coach with a defensive background if he has a good OC and Oline coach & picks/retains other coaches well. With a HC hire the supporting coaches are very important.

The new HC may choose to keep Boyer and other coaches That would mean continuity and less change for the players.

If the Fins decide to pick a first time HC, Brian Daboll or Eric Bieniemy could be solid choices.

The Fins will be in a great position with their salary cap in 2022. They already have some good young talent that are developing. They need to keep and add the right veterans.
