Mets Spring Training Invites

Mets prospect Dustin Lawley has been invited to major league spring training as a non-roster player.
Lawley hit .262 with a .314 OBP, mostly playing with Double-A Binghamton in 2013. He hit 25 home runs with the B-Mets.

Lawley joins OF Corey Vaughn, IF Danny Muno, LHP Jack Leathersich and RHP Logan Verrett as players who have been revealed to be attending camp.

Players not on the 40-man roster can attend major league spring training with invites to camp.

Out of all these guys, think Vaugn and Muno could make the team as backup infielder and outfielder.

Rumors were swirling around in Japan that we did we-sign him, but the Mets said no search contract has come.

Heard that as well, also heard it's still a very realistic possibility. As a 6/7th guy in the roation, somebody that will be an injury replacement/innings eater it's not a bad move.
