There is some discussion about the order of the tie breaker. So I will post what we have right now and what is being discussed as the changes.

Choice 1 is what we have now

Choice 2 is the changes, which will take 9 votes to change.

Sorry Joe, but I don't think that makes any sense at all as a tiebreaker in an ultra competitive league. For just about everyone, the number will be zero, and if it is more than 0 it is due to a strategical decision because of bye weeks/injuries.

Anybody who has to start an inactive player already takes their lumps in the form of a potential loss and the other tie breakers.

I get it. Maybe I'm off base here.
And sure, everyone is psyched about it now - new league and all.
Sometimes it's good to think about the participation a few years down the road.
Guys that we never thought would leave the MBBRL are gone.
And I believe last season, there was someone inactive for a few weeks.
It's easy to say that we'll just replace them.
But perhaps a deterrent to building to that point may be the tie-breaker penalty.
Seems like I'm all alone.
Oh well. You guys are still the best.

It seems to me that the odds of an owner going inactive are a lot higher than having both my defenses on bye the same week(without there being a waiver option) and the score ending in a tie(especially with decimal scoring), so i'm with you

Tie breakers will only be used to determine playoffs or draft order. If a game ends in a tie it ends in a tie. If a playoff game ends in a tie higher seed would advance.

You think many teams going to have two defenses in a 16 team league? You want to drop yours to pick up a crap D? Or take the bye week hit?

If i draft a good one i'd rather spend a bench spot on a cuff or a prospect than carrying a 2nd D or kicker just to cover a bye week

With that being the case participation even seems more important

Good point.

I don't want to drop a prospect to pick up the Cowboys D that might get me negative points anyway.

16 teams, prospects if dropped to the wire may very likely get scooped up. Think about it. 16 teams, you dare not drop anyone, unless your willing to wave bye bye to him. Envision this, think suicide and coma combined then think about who's left on the waiver wire, not going to be pretty.
