Maybe the road is where we need to be.

Well, it couldn’t hurt them to actually hear the Hometown crowd cheer for their team

Lord knows the Mariners haven’t heard that since the end of last season, about 5-6 months ago.

When they start getting beat by Chicago White Sox, Detroit, the Marlins and a couple other scrub teams…maybe then they’ll have a reality check and start playing some damn ball

In an interview this week, Jerry Dipoto recognized Seattle's high K rates but believes there are signs of promise.“In years past, when our offense has struggled, it looks like an offense that is struggling ... Our at-bat quality has been really good.”

Anybody ever remind Dipwad that "actions speak louder than words"? Because right now, our bats have laryngitis.

Well, it's where Dipoto and Servais need to be, anyway.
We've been telling them to "hit the road" for how long now?

He also used the lame excuse of they faced some of the best pitchers in the game in terms of spin rate. So they are having quality AB’s while not being able to hit the one thing all coaching staffs and emphasizing with their pitchers.

It’s not complicated, just say it’s been disappointing so far and it’s early and we are trying to find our offensive identity.

drink every time an announcer talks about how a player or the whole mil team is "one of the best in the league at....." when what they're really talking about is how bad the M's are at offense at defense.

examples:

"botched routine play by an M results in some random player getting on base or advancing" = "wow, that guy is one of the fastest sprinters in the league..."

"M's hitter whiffs twice and gets struck out looking on the third pitch" = "Peralta/whoever has one of the best insert pitch here in the entire known universe"

i'll come visit you in the ER

Top of our lineup, three outs -2 strikeouts and our cleanup hitter. Cannot even get the ball past the pitcher, week pop-up for the third out.

My God, we have a terrible ball club

On a separate note, after a few years away from fantasy baseball, I joined a very deep, very detailed dynasty fantasy league this year, and my team had Freddy Peralta on it; bodes well for me, today.

So... none of our "aces" are aces, and we have a shit offense and shit defense. Gonna be a fun year.

3 runs needed for a win now, and it legit might as well be 30 for these losers.
