Figured given the day off I'd start this thread now since our series threads are sort of our de-facto season discussion location.

Will the Mariners play down to their competition? Time will tell.

if judge is worth this...
Aaron JudgeRF30.2RRNYY$19,000,000$32,077,279
haniger..is worth...28 or 30..prob is haniger is hurt more than judge..and sometimes dh is better for haniger
with seattle..that is all good..and they can work with it....
Mitch HanigerRF31.6RRSEA$7,750,000

duvall..is questionable...for me
Adam DuvallRF33.9RRATL$9,275,000

is a bit like them as well...not as good an average..as either

Wil MyersRF31.7RRSD$20,000,000
seems like a left fielder to me...at this point

i dont see a lot of primo..outfiels out there...
Andrew BenintendiLF28.1LLNYY$8,500,000

a lot of average outfields
center fields..a lot of avarage..center field guys as well and in free agents........which makes....julio..and lewis..prime stuff

We didn't add a RP at the deadline because we had Giles coming back. Oh wait...

He likely made close to $1mil per inning of work ( I was never a believer in him with HOU - relievers ( especially closers ) MUST HAVE electric stuff for an entire season or 2 to earn big money ) $7mil is not big MLB money either. We gambled and lost.

welcome back NWinAZ !

I hope we whoop and beat up on TX, like a hurricane hitting a screen door.

Good article on the 'He's our SS' JP:

I'm honestly surprised his defensive metrics are so-so, thought they'd be higher. But he definitely has been a disappointment offensively. It appeared he had taken that next step early on in the season, sadly it has not been the case. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the M's upgrade the position in the offseason, especially with the departures of Marte and Arroyo in the Castillo trade.

I missed the Torrens part of this earlier. Surprised by it because of lack of catching depth.
