hmm maybe I should download Hearthstone again...I liked that game.

The new Battlegrounds auto battler mode is way better than the actual card game. Give that a shot. I've played the new expansion a bit but they had to patch everything within like two days because they fucked up so bad.

Another fun mobile card game is clash royale. Not quite the same, but your card placement and timing matters. No turns, and you watch your cards play out their battles.

haven't tried that but I did get back into the game. It is a good challenge, I like it. The solo adventures are enough to keep my brain occupied. Building a deck is still something I don't thnk I want to do.

Wizards of the Coast is doing a cross-promo where they gave NHL expansion team the Seattle Kraken a card to reveal from the new set Kaldheim:

no one knows exactly what our #SeaKraken looks like, but #MTGKaldheim's take on the beast is ice cold. plus, it looks like it may even come in handy against sharks, knights and killers whales...

I've played the Pokemon and Hearthstone card games because of my kids being interested in the former. The kids at the local Pokemon group we'd play with showed me a bunch of games over the years...I actually got pretty good at those two. lulz...All the parents would be there and socialize together about adult sh*t and I would be the only one playing with the kids. You know you're the oddball when. They did to show me Magic and, well, it just got too involved and I knew my place to just back away quietly and stick to the easier stuff. But some would ask me to play some of their Magic decks against them now and again for practice (they had tournaments and such) so I know the basics of it (well, probably forgot a lot of it at this point).

Hearthstone was actually my favorite of the 3 because I didn't have to deal with cards and it was on the phone unlike the other 2. But conversely, it's probably the biggest scam of the 3. Go figure.

I never put any actual money into Hearthstone but I did enjoy playing it. I will load it up from time to time these days, but not often.

I have about a dozen old Magic cards that I recently had appraised for approx 10k total. Unfortunately, the bulk of my Magic collection was stolen about 6 or 7 years ago. Luckily I had my proxy cards in a different bag, so I still have the GOOD ones.
