The focus last year was all about Kobe. That is over now. The Lakers will be improved next year. I don't know how you can say they are at the beginning when they have Randle, Clarkso, and Russell, to build around.

I'm just not as impressed with those three players as most of you are. I hope I'm wrong. 17 wins says I may be right.

If Simmons falls to the Lakers, I could see that being a problematic fit with Randle, who could then be traded. Neither can really space the floor, and with Randle's poor % near the hoop, could be expendable for a better fit.

Seriously?!? 17 wins says that the season was about Kobe and the coach sucked. If you actually watched the young players, they did pretty well considering Kobe's farewell tour took precedence over their development and Byron was extremely inconsistent with their playing time, etc.

That is so right. Simmons can develop a jumper. Lebron and others have. I like both players. We are in a great position. We will get either one.

I'm praying Simmons somehow some way slips to the Lakers at #2. The 76ers are a complete cluster fuck and could fuck up the obvious choice.

Understandable if they aren't just blowing smoke. While he seems to be the more talented of the 2 players, he really doesn't fit what the 76ers need. Essentially, he'd be another big to add to their collection. They're collecting bigs like the Suns were collecting guards a little bit ago.

Also, if Simmons people are truly letting them know that he wants to play for the Lakers, they may be trying to decide if they want to draft someone who doesn't want to play for them.

There isn't really any advantage for them to come out and say they want a certain guy yet. They'll have both in for workouts (if they'll both work out) or at least interviews and make their decision. Another month to wait...

Simmons has made it abundantly clear is has no interest in playing for the Sixers and every intention in playing for the Lakers. Perhaps that may change things a bit.

Aside from signing Yi, Luke has completed his coaching staff. One of the guys he added, Brian Keefe, has been with Oklahoma and is given credit fro developing Durant and Westbrook. Not too shabby a start.

Yeah, he basically took a couple of days after the finals to prepare and drive down to LA. Apparently he's been at the facility everyday since then.
