Here's the thing. Some can blame the defense but the saints trail big only to make a comeback and fall short it seems. The offensive line needs to be addressed because Drew is still a great qb or else he would not have these rallies.

Is Cooks good enough as number 1 receiver with a good oline? Idk. When going against big corners in the redzone that's his downfall. I really feel we need to draft Treadwell to go with Cooks. A pass rusher is the need on defense, and that maybe can be done in FA with some backups such as when they got KL from steelers who was a backup cb. Then again that Reed guy is also tempting. Treadwell vs.Reed. Oline to be addressed in second round. It's not going to be all done this offseason but the offense getting hot first halfs again can do wonders.

Make any other excuses you want but when a offense is scoring as.many points as they do and still.losing.....it's the defense eos. An average defense would have them in contention for a wildcard.

Easily. As I said in the summer, if we were able to have a middle of the road defense (between 14th & 18th or so), we would have been a 10 or 11 win team and in the playoffs. The Defense has failed Drew and the offense far too often.

We're not going to have a top five defense no matter what. We can't pitch first half shutouts until Drew can get going. The offense has had too many three and outs to start, putting the defense right back on the field. Drew needs to be able to score in the first half.
