LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Trevor Lewis to a two-year contract extension through the 2015-16 season, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Lewis, 27, has played in 70 games with the Kings this season, recording 11 points (6-5=11) and six penalty minutes. His six goals are a career high.
In 273 career regular season NHL games (all with the Kings) Lewis has 48 points (18-30=48) and 57 penalty minutes. He was selected as the Kings Unsung Hero two straight years (2011-12 and 2012-13).
The 6-1, 198-pound native of Salt Lake City has also appeared in 44 career NHL postseason games, accumulating 16 points (5-11=16) and six penalty minutes. Lewis was a member of the Kings’ 2012 Stanley Cup Championship team.
Lewis was selected by the Kings in the first round (17th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
