I don't think so. They beat #3 FSU at the end of the season. Spurrier had problems with bowl prep sometimes. I think he let the team party too much.

That team was beaten by style. Florida was just straight soft like Charmin back then and really through most of the Spurrier era. Jerome Bettis beat them on straight a gap or b gap dive. That’s just pussy football from UF. It’s hard to compete when you’re just out classed on the line of scrimmage.

My son graduated from U of AZ in 2017 (ROTC...he's currently a Lt.Jg in the Navy. I went to a few of the football games in 2016, and some of the baseball games in the spring.
