LOL @ you...

So a true freshman goes on a road game in rainy ass Pittsburgh, absolutely tears it up, and we are going to criticize him because he didn't do it against an Alabama, Stanford, or LSU???

Really. He is a kid and tore it up against a proud football program that isn't as bad as you think.

God people.... HE IS A TRUE FRESHMAN!!!

Florida State fans... Welcome to the Jelly of the month club. You will be getting served heaping portions from now til Winston is a 1st round NFL draft pick...

Haters... Here, for you

The same thing everyone said about JF until the Bama game.

If JF's first name was Johnnyis I might agree with you. What the hell is a Jameis? That should be pronounced Jum-eyes.

He was awesome! Wish he would have gone to Alabama but don't think they were going to let him play both sports. However, I've never seen so many wide open receivers. I don't mean windows of a few feet. We're talking yards! We'll have to wait and see but what a start!!!

You've clearly never watched a UNC football game ;)

Grown men don't say jelly for one. Secondly, Pittsburgh is not very good. His receivers were wide open. It was like they were running drills at practice.

Pitt pressed 4 times and got burned every time. So they then played soft. Instead of a 7 yd cushion they could have used a 4 yd. We run the same exact plays every game. They did not scout FSU very well.

He wasn't Mr. Basketball for the state of Alabama. He was the Player of the year for Mobile county and on the All Metro team.

He was a 3 star QB recruit coming out of high school. Not highly touted. ESPN had him listed as the #70 Pro-Style QB coming out of high school. Rivals had him as the 18th Pro style QB. Scout had him as the 44th pro style qb.

Hello, all. Thought I'd put my first post here. Great to see the interest in Jameis.

Well, looky here. What's up?

And Jameis ... he looked ok. You know, though ... Pitt sucks.

Gotta hand it to him. He looked real good. However, it is just one game.

It is a good sign for him though that ESPN has already taken notice of him, this time last year no one took notice of any of Manziel's accomplishments.

Might have something to do with the fact that this time last year Johnny had 173 yds passing and 60 yds on 17 carries in a loss to Florida. Hard to get to much hype on that.

Still a lot of games to play, this year's heisman winner is possibly not on the radar either.

Well, he said himself its only one game and that he is only focused on getting better and winning. The media started this, not Winston.

Mack Brown didn't offer him. I heard that come up last night.

Is Mack pinning all his hopes on Swoops?

Is Mack pinning all his hopes on Swoops?

Mack explained his latest fuck up ERRRR misunderstanding that this was just a tweet by a 16 year old kid and Texas was in transition with OCs and Harsin didn't really recruit him. Also said UT was never in the running and that it was between Florida State and Alabama the entire time and they didn't recruit well in the state of Alabama.

VIDEO: Mack Brown talks recruiting Florida State QB Jameis Winston - CBSSports.com

Florida State redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston quickly became a household name in college football with his near-perfect debut in the Seminoles 41-13 win at Pittsburgh on Monday night. Winston wowed fans with 25-for-27 passing and five total touchdowns, but it was a comment, via ESPN's Brett McMurphy, that dropped jaws.

According to McMurphy, the Seminoles quarterback "always wanted to go to Texas" while growing up in Hueytown, Ala., and said he would be playing for the Longhorns if Mack Brown had offered a scholarship.

Mack Brown was a guest on Rome Tuesday afternoon. When Jim Rome asked about Winston's recruitment, Brown explained why the Longhorns did not pursue the quarterback more aggressively.

Brown cited the transition between offensive coordinator Greg Davis and Bryan Harsin as one possible reason for the miscommunication, adding that the state of Alabama is not a primary recruiting ground for the Longhorns. Brown did confirm that Winston expressed interest in Texas, but at the time he was told that it was a "two horse race" between Florida State and Alabama for the dual-threat quarterback.

CBSSports.com's Bruce Feldman did some investigating, speaking with both a source at Texas and Winston's high school coach. Texas said the staff didn't believe Winston was "seriously interested" in the Longhorns. Winston's high school coach said otherwise.

"Bottom line, that [Texas] was the only school that he wanted to check out and they weren't interested in him," Matt Scott, Winston's high school coach, told Feldman.

You can see in the video that he's really pissed off/irritated by this. Not the same clap-happy yellow teeth piece of shit he always is.

He know's he's missed out on another potential Heisman winner and has been made a fool again.

But it's alright Mack -- we still got David Ash

It's sad but one day when Texas gets a coach that will recruit nationwide, then watch out.

Thought his touch was great.
Thought he was calm under pressure and showed great poise.

Only one game, but his stature 6'4" & 227 lbs. leads me to believe he could be in for a big payday someday. NFL scouts are craving to see more I am sure.

Time will tell, but best of luck to him and good for FSU.
