It doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. If you are going to throw inside, do so without hitting the batter. Now take the circumstances in mind. You're up 9-4 in the bottom of the ninth with 1 out & no one on, there was no need to try to pitch inside like that. If you can't pitch there, don't throw there. The runner-up for MVP was hit & injured.

So what happens in the next game? Pirates are up 5-3 in the 9th with 2 on & first open, McCutchen gets hit. Tit for tat. He didn't throw at his hands or head, he wasn't injured. So what is with all this pussy ass whining? Again, don't pitch inside if you can't hit your target & end up costing players the rest of their season.
