You know what, I am fine with Jacob Eason as the Hawks Back-up QB 100%. He is a very talented and skillful QB that just needs more seasoning. I think he has the skill to be a fine back-up. In College they praised this guy to no end and I was in California at the time when they would talk about him and he was playing for the Huskies...THEY NEVER talk about the UW Huskies down there!

I hate having to spend Nov through January in LA every year.

He has prototype size and strength, and a big arm. But watching him play with the Huskies made it obvious that he wasn't particularly good at going through progressions and he was too often off target on his throws (under 60% completion rate, and a 39 TD/16 Int in college). Maybe he has improved or has the ability to improve further but I am skeptical.

On the other hand, I do agree that we shouldn’t use draft capital, particularly as high as the 2nd round, on a back up QB when we have much bigger needs elsewhere. Give me just about any position other than WR and it should provide necessary help.

He improved every season ( when he was the starter ) in College but only had 2 seasons with starter reps. I think he will improve and should be fine as a back up capable of winning games just as long as he has a team around him. I feel he is every bet as capable as Geno Smith and he can become better than Smith with coaching.

GP 13CMP 260ATT 405INT 8Yds 3132TD 23Lng 5764% Cmp7.7 AVG/P240.9 AVG/G

those are not bad number in his last season in college.

I can't imagine McDuffie falls to the 2nd round let alone pick 41. Even if he did, there's no way Seattle would draft him. We'd draft some 4th round OL/DL prospect.

I'm assuming that Pick 113 would be a pass rusher if that's what you mean... Is the perfect fit for a 3-4 defense...

Did i miss something? Did we hire a 3-4 DC?

This will still be the same defense we have had for every year Pete has been here. Sure they may run a hybrid 3-4 which is what their 5-2 is and a formation they have used a lot the past 4 years.

You are right... What I was thinking of is the rumors stating that we will be moving more to a (2) high safety look rather than a Cover 3 (3 deep) zone... With that said, you'll need a hybrid OLB/DL rushing the passer down low in addition to the 3 other lineman... They probably will be moving J. Adams more to that role after thinking about it...

DT

2. JORDAN DAVIS, GEORGIA

BIG BOARD RANK: 28

The single most physically imposing defender in college football. At 6-foot-7, 360 pounds, he’s an immovable block along the defensive line. That may be all you get, though, as he’s managed all of eight pressures this season.

after that its more who i llike...

this guy 3 tech..pass..rusher....for now...i think..he will be able to do it all..

Tyler Davis, DT (Jr., 6-2, 300).clemson

Davis only played in seven games last year and was limited to just 17 tackles and two sacks. But when he is right, he is really right. A Davis at full-go will be an early-round selection in either 2022 or 2023.

this mock draft...the guy tradeswilson...i have no intention of that...but..phili...pick 15 ,16,...and 19 is the one...im after.

19. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (VIA PHI): OT BERNHARD RAIMANN, CENTRAL MICHIGAN

Pick 19 is the other first-rounder that got flipped to Seattle. The Seahawks use it to better protect their new franchise quarterback in Matt Corral. Raimann showed well at both tackles at the Senior Bowl and can be the heir apparent to veteran Duane Brown.
