Jean Beliveau another of the great French-Canadians that played for Montreal passed Tues. He was an inspiration to many Canadian youngsters to play hockey including Vinny Lecavalier who wore # 4 in honor of Beliveau.

I met Mr. Beliveau on several occasions. Once in a private club in the Bell Center. He autographed my playoff ticket for me. A true gentleman.

When my wife was pregnant, we were at a game and she was wearing a HABS jersey with #9 Rocket Richard on it. She saw Mr Beliveau sitting anout 20 rows in front of us at ice level and she made a bee line to get her ticket autographed. She said he simply smiled at the Richard jersey and said, "it would be my honor to autograph your ticket".

Class!!!!!!!

Been a fan since birth. I can still remember shitting my diapers as a todler after an ugly loss to the Leafs!!

Attended many games at the Montreal Forum. Saw the Stanley Cup final in 1979 when the HABS won the cup that night versus the Rangers. Being there watching them skate with the cup was un-fucking believeable!!!
