I hope the new coaching staff sees that Rowe has more upside at Safety and are seriously looking at a corner at 13 - there's a good chance they could end up with one of Hargreaves/Alexander/Apple there. I wouldn't rule out Kenny Clark at 13 either - that guy would kill it in our scheme next to Cox.

No, he wants to play CB - more money at that position generally.

Yeah Duke I understand he wants to play corner, but to me his upside is better at Safety, and if we move him there and draft a top-flight CB, we've improved 2 positions. Thurmond is likely to walk, I feel confident Rowe can step in there next to Jenkins and make a strong tandem moving forward, finally some stability at a position that has given us major issues the last few years.

I'm of the opinion that Rowe can play corner effectively. I saw a guy who was getting into position to make plays. Against Megatron he was right there but couldn't get high enough to make the play. I think he improves and I'm hoping he takes a step forward this season.

Killebrew is perfect technique tackler. Ragland and he are the best tacklers in the draft.

I want Tashuan Gibson as our next Safety in FA. Alexander in the first would be sweet. Arkansas boys in the 3rd -- Allen and Tretola!

I heard a thing on Sports Radio that Allen had a poor combine and won't get drafted until rd 5-7.

I have to admit, I was major impressed with Killebrew. Dude wraps up and hits. I love how low he gets in his tackles, and doesn't lean over to do it, but quickly snaps back upright, and gets his upper body vertical instead of horizontal. Watched him hit one tackle and lifted the guy straight off his feet, and keeping his weight under his feet, instead of leaning in, was able to wrap and lift his legs even higher. Put the dude right on his back, knocked the wind out of him. Was a great tackle - but loved the mechanics. Don't see that type of tackling a lot anymore. Everyone just grabs at the waste, goes to the ground and does the alligator roll. I started a threat before reading this, asking what round you guys thought he would go in. I was afraid it would be in the 2nd, where we are void. I would "LOVE" to get this guy.

Don't know what Combine he was watching ... I watched all the throws he made and he was on the money with velocity. Posted a very respectable 4.84 40 as well as 7.06 in the 3 cone while showing excellent foot movement on his drop backs. His vertical was 28" which is about average ... I'm not seeing where the "poor" showing was ...

His hands measured at 8 inches though. Tiny.

8 7/8 Officially ... bigger than Tony Romo's who's done ok at the pro level. No more fumbling issues than any of the top prospects. Throws a tight spiral with a good arm ... I don't see much of a problem. Jared Goff who will be the 2nd QB off the board measured 9"

That 1/8" means a lot though Rey! ;)
Yep, he can play, but I would want him in the mid-rounds.

Anyone who expected Allen to light up the combine is fooling themselves. This is where he should look his worst, outside of the throws -- which I didn't get to see this year, but I'll take Rey's word for it.

He didn't do good on the vertical or broad jump ... two areas which are completely unimportant imo for QB's.

Leg power matters. Overall athleticism does too. He has to compensate for his size somehow.

He did score a solid 40 and 3 cone drill ... he has agility, he's just not a jumper. Lesean McCoy registered a 29" vertical, all of one inch more than Brandon Allen (and leg strength matters way more for a RB) ... that right there tells you how unimportant that is.
