I wonder what triggered him to do so. It's the same franchise offer that's been out there since before camp. I guess he just feels it's time to get ready for the season?

Regardless, it's great news and I'm happy to have him back with a few weeks to get the rust knocked off him.

Its probably because he didnt want to get injured in practice but didnt want to walk into week one with no practice at all.
