Jack Z's contract

Jack Z was extended to a multi year contract back in 2011. If It was a 3 year contract, I'd understand the worry about Z getting fired, but if he has a few years left in his contract, why is Z's future uncertain here?

Speaking of his contract, does anyone know how long Z's current contract runs through?

depending on how we finish I wouldnt mind seeing Jack stay another year simply because of how miller and franklin are doing, zunino is going to be on the watch for breakout player next year, danny hultzen should be coming up soon (if he can stay healthy) and of course the long wait of tai walker, if he keeps doing what hes doing he might be on the opening day rotation
