Is Woodhead a starter in PPR leagues?

Who would've guessed that, on my team today, the best guy out of Woodhead, Doug Martin, Chris Johnson and Lamar Miller would end up being Woodhead. Just picked him up in a trade this week (one that I definitely got the better of), and I'm sick of Chris Johnson's bullshit. Is Woodhead a start next week vs. Dallas over CJ vs. NYJ?

Depends on Spiller's injury. If he's back to 100% then I would roll with Spiller. Tough call with PPR though. I'd still feel more confident about Spiller.

Oops, somehow misread your OP. I thought you meant CJ Spiller at the end instead of Chris Johnson.

To reiterate, I would go with Woodhead. But maybe you can find a trade with Chris Johnson. His PPR value is very limited.

as for Johnson, if you can hold strong with him through his bye, it "should be" smooth sailing from there, the schedule seems to be attractive... as for week 4, I can see Woodhead being involved a lot, with Dallas likely scoring points, but who's to say Ronnie Brown doesn't poke his nose in there again... I'd still start CJ..K.

Woodhead will have a nice game here or there, but no way he's a top-20 RB even in PPR. If you're starting him regularly at RB2 you'll be below average there, and there are more than 30 WRs you'd rather have at a flex spot.

Not crazy to have him on your roster and even play him when you think things favor him, but he's not really a game changer.

Next week at Dallas is especially not crazy.

So Danny Woodhead is starting to push for a high-end RB2/low-end situational RB1 in PPR format (12th most points among all RBs). He is now leading all NFL backs in receptions at 31 and TD grabs at with 3. Something in SD is clicking right now for him and Rivers.

I would say so. He is definitely worth a start until week 10 (not including week 8) when their schedule gets a lot tougher.

I don't like him as much this coming week as I did the last two. Most of the weeks after that look decent though. The Dallas game is likely to be his high point, although the Redskins matchup might be close.
