I think another team would actually hire him as head coach. They would just assume that he was put in a helpless situation under Mike Brown and did the best he could.

Of course. Bruce Coslet was hired as a HC more than once. Wade Phillips was hired as a HC more than once. Norv Turner was hired as a head coach more than once (this is his third gig). Dick Jauron was hired as a HC more than once. Chan Gailey..... I think you get the picture.

NFL owners aren't very creative. Given that there aren't a lot of hot coordinators these days, there are bound to be several more NFL retreads coaching new teams.
