It is undeniable that domestic abusers are scum bums. And nobody says you can't protest. But there are better ways to protest than to disrespect the flag and everything it represents.

It might help if the networks just showed commercials during the national anthem. Then nobody including Trump will know.

I don't remember anyone ever saying Tebow praying was disgusting. Then again, that was 6 years ago.

You realize we'd be talking about football right now had Trump just worried about more important things right? Was ANYONE talking about players kneeling the last 2 weeks in the excess it is being talked about right now? No. Because no one cared about it that much because it wasn't that big of a deal to ANYONE. Now, all of a sudden you got merch being burned and business refusing to air the games. Because of Donald Trump. So, these protests and Kaepernick WOULD of been a footnote in the NFL but now the first amendment is being attacked by the person to took an oath to protect the constitution of the US. So yeah, no longer will these protests be a footnote. Now, it's gonna be at the forefront of a lot of discussions whether people like it or not. This just blew up and became a huge deal for NO fucking reason because most people could care less about it. He has condemned the NFL players more than the fucking White Supremacists who are actually advocating FOR racial division and racial hate.

Trump did though. Were people talking about boycotting the NFL or burning jerseys and tickets and merch before he said anything? Don't think so.
They weren't talking about it after he said something either. It was the NFL's act that did it.

I don't think so. People were talking about his tweets and comments probably a day before the NFL responded.
