Perhaps Mick owned the song himself? Also, WCW licensed a lot songs as opposed to making their own (like WWE) so WWE might have just paid the license fee

Pretty sure that band that did the Wyatt song ended up becoming employees of WWE. They did the walk in live at a pay per view, but apparently it gave them rights to that song and whatever else they come up with.
