Thread to talk about off-season moves and trades.
I can't say I would be disappointed if Arrieta chose free agency. I also can't imagine him doing thatNotable players who can opt into free agency:
Stephen Strasburg
JD Martinez
Aroldis Chapman
Yu Darvish
Kenley Jansen
Jake Arrietta
Elvis Andrus
Jason Heyward
Deadline for decision is Saturday, November 2nd.
Still rationalizing a great season by saying it took the champs to beat us in the Playoffs.
That said, free agents are good and all, but the Brewers have to start looking at life after Braun. Last year of his contract that pays $17 million this year with an additional $3 million deferred. Yelich needs to be signed for big money so that will eat a lot if not all. We are in need of an innings eater and if the right move comes along, a mid-high range #1 or 2 starter. Personally, I would like to see them stretch Hader out to be a 6-7 inning starter. Closers are like lightning in a bottle. Big money for closers is foolish.
Out of curiosity do you know what Brent Suter's role will be?
I know I know, I ask all of the exciting questions
I don't know if anyone does. Does Jimmy Nelson get it back? Can Brandon Woodruff make a full season? Zach Davies? Suter seems like he does better in relief. Maybe closer material. There are so many arms but none are proven for the long haul. Could be lights out or another season of 5.00+ ERA
I don’t care if the Braves sign Cole and Rendon, I just can’t get excited as long as we’re managed by a retard. I’ve seen a lot of playoff series losses, but none of them stung as much as this year’s. This is the first year in a long time that I felt we were the better team and have it away.
Seriously, one of, and arguably the best rotation ever.....only won one WS.You must be too young to recall 1996-1998. Worst bed shitting of all time.

Only agree if he develops a 3rd pitch

I expect the Braves to resign Donaldson and get someone like Zack Wheeler to add to rotation. Also heard rumors of us possibly being interested in trading for Mookie Betts.
