I am so sick and tired of Buck. He can make a bad team good, but he can't make a good team great and his track records proves it.

Buck certainly doesn't seem to pull the correct strings lately. This game should be 3-1. We lose, completely on Buck. I hope he admits as much after the game.

Could it be that the truth is something we don't want to see-- that this team has been over-achieving since 2012? (From the perspective of Expected W-L record, this year's team has won 3 more games than they should have.)

Why trade for K-Rod if Buck's just going to push his luck with having these starters try to pitch into 8th and 9th innings? He got away with it with Tillman against the Rangers, but it cost them this time. He is so concerned with preserving the bullpen. Most likely now this game is going extras and the entire bullpen will be drained. Nice job Buck.

The Orioles just cannot gain separation from 10 games over .500. They lose series to sub .500 teams at almost every opportunity.

Being 10-15 games over .500 is not going to get them into the post season. They are just not going to make it. There is just no excuse for tonight's game. Buck just did not even bother to manage the game late.

Two thoughts:

1. At least Boston lost, which means that we're still "only" 3.5 games back. Texas gained a game in the race for the 2nd wild card spot, though.

2. Would you consider the unthinkable (replacing Buck) if that would mean winning the World Series in 2014? (Yes, I know that this is drastic and unlikely to happen. But if no player is bigger than the team, couldn't the same be said of the manager, GM, or even owner?)

Buck needs to be fired. Teams he manages have a ceiling that is just short of a World Series.
