Slow start, Sumlin made a questionable decision to go for it on 4th down and didn't get it. Arizona State got a field goal for a 3-0 lead
Does anyone else feel like Arizona made a MASSIVE mistake canning Rich Rod when he had the perfect QB in Khalil Tate for his offense?
They had to can him in today’s “me too” era. But yeah Rich Rod was perfect for Tate. Said it 5 years ago when he recruited him.Does anyone else feel like Arizona made a MASSIVE mistake canning Rich Rod when he had the perfect QB in Khalil Tate for his offense?
Because Sumlin wanted to turn him into a pocket passer, or at least more of a pocket passer than he used to be. Plus he’s been hindered with ankle injuries ever since the Sumlin era began.seriously. how does a guy who runs for 1411 yards on 153 carries (9.2 YPC!!!) get 153 carries in his next 23 games after the 2017 season?

If you’re willing to read it here’s a timeline.New coach that didn't know how to use him
Was it really something major, what happened escapes me. I thought it was something minor that simply got Arizona out of paying a buyout

I thought Sumlin would turn Tate into a Heisman contender based on his pedigree with Manziel but I was wrong.

Updated timeline: How Rich Rodriguez's firing unraveled at Arizona, which led the Wildcats to Kevin Sumlin
That was definitely the exact definition of arm punt.Arizona State seems to be good at opening second halves with an improved rushing attack lately
and now Tate throws an arm punt, things coming apart for Arizona
Az WRs are awful this game...just awful
