seriously. how does a guy who runs for 1411 yards on 153 carries (9.2 YPC!!!) get 153 carries in his next 23 games after the 2017 season?

They had to can him in today’s “me too” era. But yeah Rich Rod was perfect for Tate. Said it 5 years ago when he recruited him.

Because Sumlin wanted to turn him into a pocket passer, or at least more of a pocket passer than he used to be. Plus he’s been hindered with ankle injuries ever since the Sumlin era began.

I thought Sumlin would turn Tate into a Heisman contender based on his pedigree with Manziel but I was wrong.

Because Sumlin wanted to turn him into a pocket passer, or at least more of a pocket passer than he used to be. Plus he’s been hindered with ankle injuries ever since the Sumlin era began.

Tate could create pretty well as a pocket passer but didn't have the offensive line that A&M had with Manziel.

Tate needed more designated QB runs so he could better control the impact made to him but Sumlin and staff refused to do that

They better improve next year or he's out of there
