I hate assholes that have to light off fireworks and cherry bombs at midnight. I hope they blew off a thumb.
At my age, you're thankful you made it through another year and you're sound asleep at 9:01 pm. It took me until 2:11 am to get back to sleep until some moron decided to blow off a couple at 3:45 am that he'd been too drunk to light at midnight.
I finally grabbed my 357 decided to see if I could share my fireworks with him. I made sure the rest of neighborhood could greet in the new year with the same happiness as me.

Yep! I was just goofing around that I had given up on 2024 after just a few hours.
After I posted that I went out and lit the rest of my fireworks waking up the grumpy old guy in my neighborhood. That greatly improved my mood.
