Great current sports games to play

with friends? By classic, I mean the games that were quick, fun and exciting.

Examples of some classics.

-Super Tecmo Bowl (all time greatest and if my NES still worked properly I would still play this)

-NBA JAM (SNES and Xbox)

-GameBreaker (PS1)

Relatively recent and alright game is Madden Arcade

But they don't seem to make them like they use to, games that are great for one vs one having a friend over. NCAA and Madden are far too realistic and take about an hour to finish a game. Tecmo you could play 5 games in an hour.

Is there any games out there today that could be added to this list?

Didn't they remake NBA Jam a year or so ago? Try that.

All other sports games I know go for realism, not arcade play

Yeah they did remake Jam, but it was the old fashion 2 vs 2. Really liked the 3 vs 3 that came out on the original XBOX.

EA Sports MVP Baseball 05 is the best baseball game ever. The baseball games of today just plain suck, especially The Show.

My favorite baseball game was Triple Play 2001. The game play was decent and the home run derby was the shit.

This game was awesome.

Triple Play '98 was great because that was the first time team logos showed up on uniforms.

NHL 01 was awesome too.

High Heat 2002 for the PC was probably one of my favorites too.
