You would think people would learn after chasing the same rumors last year, might as well offer Webb another guaranteed contract at this rate

What's the harm in taking a flier on a guy who has proven to be a good player when healthy if it's not going to prevent us from making other moves that we need to make? It's only money and it's not like the Rangers are broke!

if, and it's a big IF, he's fully recovered from this spate of injuries we could be picking up one of those rare 5-tool players that comes along. if not, then we cut our losses and still have a good player like Martin to bring up

IF? the guy plays a position that requires range, and he's had 2 years worth of knee injuries, doesn't bode well for him

He certainly is not a 5 tool player any more. I really doubt that he'd be any better than Borbon, Martin or Gentry at this juncture. If he plays winter ball and kills it and proves that he can run, throw, field and hit then he'd be damned well worth it considering he was at one point on a hall of fame path. Sizemore had serious talent at one point. How much talent he has left is another story. And for all the open roster spots, etc. the Rangers have a hellacious palette of super talented players to choose from. They don't really need to be out there signing iffy guys.

I don't doubt that he can hit significantly better than all those guys, but the guy is pretty much a COFer now, but the thing is he's not a CFer anymore
