So Warriors vs. Celtics. Can we just do the 2018 NBA finals now?

EDIT: actually put Russell Westbrook on the Celtics and somehow get Karl Anthony Towns to the Warriors and that should be fucking epic, that'd actually be fun to watch instead of the 82 games of worthless basketball since it wont matter anyway.

Pacers/Mavs live on NBAtv. After that it's the Heat/Pistons.

ESPN's Chris Haynes broke the story and appears to have blown his load early. Woj is saying Hayward and his agent haven't made a decision yet.

Now it's back to being official. Honestly did not see the Celtics landing him..

Even with this signing it will still be the Cavs

I hear ya... but there's a chance now vs Cleveland, a real chance, where before this signing... not much of one.

And how old is old man James now? Just sayin'. By all appearances... LeBron takes immaculate care of himself... and I'm sure he takes all the right "supplements"... but 275 lbs athletic super freaks don't age like fine wine. Do they?

Yeah they do have a chance now, though I don't think it is a great one at that... James still have major game and has no sign of slowing down so he will be ok

One or two out of the following three:

- Avery Bradley
- Jae Crowder
- Marcus Smart

gone

The problem with the Celts is that their sum is greater than their parts.

If they start shipping guys like the aforementioned out, then they risk screwing their chemistry and ending up an even worse, and more expensive team.

I hear ya...

... still, the C's can't stand still either... not if they want to truly compete for a championship.

You need stars in the NBA... I think bringing in Hayward is the right move. He is a very nice #2 star on a competing team.

Now the C's just need a #1. No... IT's not a #1.

I don't understand why they needed Gordon Hayward. If Stevens knew him coming was a possibility, then why did they just draft 2 SFs with the #3 pick the last two years?

The Cs window of opportunity won't open for another 3 or so years. They need to stockpile young talent and ship out who isn't working out.
