another good one

"This is home for us, we pretty much grew up here, we were 20 when we came over, you look at pictures from back then, we were different guys. So it's been a long journey and it's very special."

Henrik still uses "we" when talking about the captaincy. It's clear he sees it as something he shares with his brother.

There is a narrative the Sedins aren't passionate. It's partially why some fans wanted Ryan Kesler to be captain. It's also why some were surprised when Henrik blasted Chicago following the first round. He essentially said the Hawks weren't deserving of a seven-game series. He was right. The Canucks turned a sweep into a nail biter. He had every reason to be fiery.

"I think he is emotional," Gillis said. "There are 1,000 reasons why."

And if you ever doubted what this means to him, he cleared that up too.

“Vancouverized, you can say that,” Henrik said of himself and his brother. "I've said it before, it means as much as winning (here as) in a city where you were born and grew up.

"That's how big it is for us.”
