Well Pau is officially a Bull after giving the Lakers 7 years and some great play in the playoffs the first few years. Pau was always consistent just lacked the motivation and drive after that loss to Dallas in the playoffs that i never really saw him regain, much in contrast to the loss in the finals then the next year coming out like a man on a mission. Albiet a bit frustrating at the end of his tenure, I will miss Pau. Heres to you big Spaniard. Always a Laker.

Pau has been my favorite Laker since we got him. I'll miss him being a Laker. He was pure class and true asset to the organization. I'd love to see him return in some capacity when he retires.


In the meantime, I wish him well in Chicago except when he's playing the Lakers.

Yep, Pau will finish his career elsewhere but he'll be back because he is a Laker for life. I see him down the road joining Vlade Divac in Europe as another Lakers Euro scout/admin.

I don't blame Pau for leaving. He was already traded once (for CP3) and when that fell through his name was the first to come up in transfer rumors.

Glad he's in the East - that way we only have to face him a couple of times a year.

I hope Randle can fill his shoes though and I have a good feeling about him!

I hope so. Randle is much too young or raw to make an impact less he has a amazing rookiee campaign. He has great athleticism and footwork from what i have seen. It will be a while before he develops a touch or jump shot. The best thing about the Byron Scott hire is the fact that hes a d first coach. And if Randle can improve in that aspect i would be delighted. It could be the first thing for his game to come along in my estimation. Hopefully.

As for filling his shoes we actually did lose a lot with Pau now gone. His passing was stellar, his rebounding was solid, his finesse was key when anyone could give him a little room from a pass. Booze is a good trade off as far as what was available but Booze will need to really light a fire under his ass to fill those shoes. Lets hope it works out for both of them and gives them more motivation. Word is that Boozer is motivated by the trade and his reduced minutes last year caused him to reevaluate the situation and himself. If he can get back to form he would be a tremendous asset. Hes definitely one guy who will benefit greatly from the Byron Scott hire. Help to his D and low post offense. Actually a great situation for him, and a few years back he liked LA. Nuff said.
