You might be right, but the advantage is always to the guy who is moving and Torres is pretty well-built. With amount of speed Torres has, he could put a lot of force on a hit. Probably too much risk for injury, though. I asked not because I thought Torres should have opted for that, but because I am not sure what the rule is on that kind of play. I know you can blow up a catcher, but can you blow up a non-catcher on a play at the plate?

Actually this Giants team makes me run the gamut of emotions. Like this crazy but hot chick that pisses you off and then is the best thing to happen to you.

Pablo Sandoval extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a single in the 3rd inning. Since 2005, only Buster Posey, Randy Winn and Aaron Rowand have longer streaks for the Giants.
