He stole 20+ 4 years in a row earlier in his career. Man Pablo just got AT&T'd

I'm a huge fan of Theriot what an upgrade over fontenot. I don't even miss Freddy.

They are both super UT guys, but Theriot is way more of an everyday player. I even like him over Kepp, despite Kepps slightly better year with the bat. K-man was a statue out there, Theriot has above average range at 2B.

I hope Boch gets tossed. Making that call is inexcusable.

I should have said I have become a huge fan... WTF! That never happens. Aw WTF that's BS...

Back to Keppinger I wanted to keep him, but Theriot is definitely a better all around player.

You got that right! If it ain't blatantly obvious you can't make that call. Geezus. I wouldn't give as big a shit if it was Posey or Melky but Crawford doesn't need anyone taking shit away from him. :popeye:

He's really sacked up since the all star break. He's actually getting timely hits, and fielding his position cleanly.

Maybe he can let Belt borrow his sack for a little while?

Vogelsong, compared to all NL "qualified" pitchers (before tonight's game) :

3rd in the NL in ERA
6th in QS% (5 guys tied for 1st with 100%, he's 16 out of 18)
8th in WAR
9th in WHIP

Geez, this guy has been a STEAL.

Rumors of the Dodgers demise clearly exaggerated. Perhaps MSG was right about those bastards.

I hope not...

But I don't think we win this division by 5+ games. It's going to be a tight one.

That said, if Timmy is truly effective (not ace-like, just solid) we got this.

Y'all realize the NL MVP this year is going to be Melky or McCutcheon, right?

Am I misremembering? Has Theriot's defense been this good all year, or has it just been the last 2-3 weeks?

He was making some mistakes early I the year like everyone else... I wonder if that little injury had something to do with it? His D improved about the same time he started hitting as I recall.

Actually now that I think of it if Posey keeps up the torrid pace, finished with a .320/.375/.525 line and 25 HRs he might win it

Yep sort of a Bonds/Kent thing goin on.

Dynamic Duo sure, but there won't ever be a 'Bonds thing' again IMO. Take the natural talent, add roids, and you get a guy that gets intentionally walked with the bases loaded and hits 7000 HRs.

Rep for bringing up the memories. How the park would freeze, folks would leave the food line they were in for 15 minutes, people would run out of the bathroom without washing, just to see him hit...

Pablo looked great in that AB. Let the ball come to him. (even on the foul ball)

To think some people were arguing he would never be the same again
