Yep.. Doesn't look good for Mallet. There are too many other players fighting for a spot that would help the team more than Mallet as the 3rd QB.

I'm not sure if this is a negative against Mallett or just Garoppolo picking up the offense faster than expected. But there are those among us that were/are against trading Mallett for a 2nd rounder. Either way, this is a good sign as there were early reports of garoppolo struggling mightily.

From what Mallett has show in pre-season, they would be lucky to get a 2nd round pick for him, particularly from a team that's suddenly quarterback-desperate and will probably end up in the first half of the draft order.

Garoppolo looked like a keeper last Friday. Since the Pats don't usually carry 3 quarterbacks, Thursday will probably be our last time seeing Mallett in a Patriot uniform. The high probability that they will cut Mallett if he's not traded also reduces his trade value.

It was on a few different websites, and they never mentioned the teams. ESPM Boston, Herald, CSNNE, NESN. I think Bleacher Report or CSNNE re-ran it this spring.
