Damn, tie game. Wild were overdue. Schultz is going to be crucified for that one and rightfully so

didn't need over time, but it won't hurt them that they went there.. would've been a shame lose that point on a silly goal like the tying one.

on to the next one. shame Weal didn't play, I wanted to get a look at him.

First off, I hope Ghost is alright.

This was an exciting game from start to finish and I thought we were in control for long stretches, which is pretty impressive in Minnesota. They have one of the best home records in the Nhl.

Don't look now, but over the last few weeks, Sean Couturier has transformed into the second line center we had dreamt he'd be since we drafted him 8th overall in 2011. He's seemingly always had great positioning and defense, but his vision and passing are very underrated right now and he is finishing more frequently than he ever has since juniors. I feel like his linemates are feeding off of his confidence and they are altogether dominant.

The first goal against was just an extremely well-placed shot with a massive screen and I don't think anything could've been done. You have to blame Giroux for a silly turnover that led to the second goal and I want to blame Mason for the third goal, but he was actually solid in net all night long. It just seems like he put that puck in a bad spot for Schultz. I guess I just hate it when goalies leave their net to retrieve a puck. Unless a guy is going to have a breakaway, it seems counterproductive to me (especially with the lead).

It is a damn shame that this thing ended up being tied, but also we were very fortunate to be able to finish it late in OT and avoid the shootout. You have to give Del Zotto props for really stepping up and shining in the absence of Ghost.

Huge, huge win. Let's keep it rolling all the way into the playoffs!!

I definitely think it's a combination of Couturier playing well and BSchenn playing well. I missed the Habs game, but from all accounts he was the best Flyer in that game, and I thought he was probably the best Flyer in the Wild game as well. He's really playing well right now and I think it combines very nicely with Couturier. Hopefully they can keep it up and get their confidence where it needs to be to be a true 2nd line.

Regardless, you have to love the way that Hakstol is massaging this roster into something significant much like you would a ball of clay into a beautiful vase. 5 goals and 5 assists for Couturier in just the last 9 games. It's pretty unreal.

Once the top line starts piling up the points (and they will), we're going to score way more often.

Definitely. If they could get the special teams rolling a little better, they could be in business. G and Voracek seem to be PP specialists almost, their 5 on 5 scoring totals are scary, so it's imperative that the PP is deadly.

This was a great win despite Gee's turnover and the debacle behind the net. Couts playing with confidence and Schenn tearing it up is something that we need to have consistency at something this team lacks. For now I am loving the team again. Its nice to see DelZotto getting some goals please keep it up.

Scott Laughton misses the entire net on a breakaway, is sending him to the pressbox and getting Weal a shot the way to go?

MDZ needs to be a part of this team long term - he's only getting better and better and he's become a reliable d-man night in and night out - with all the young guys coming up I think he is a great fit with these guys
