I'll go with Ghost on the power play. He continues to light it up and Giroux will likely get the primary assist. After some of the joke calls against us last night, we're due to get some power plays early on in this one.

Time to essentially bury the Jackets in the division.

We've beaten four winning teams in a row. Can we stay focused at home against a team that is really in the dumps? We shall see. These points are just as valuable as any others.

Gonna go with Jake, giroux getting in a grove, and he's due to start feeding jake some goals too.

One of the worst periods they've had in a while - first goal Foligno is wide open in the faceoff circle for a goal and on the second one Laughts tipped the puck past Mase when trying to deflect it out of the air

Michael Raffl got them on the board at 2-1 and Foligno gets his second and it's now 3-1

I'll be the obvious one to say that I don't like the lineup changes - putting two forwards in when they've been out for weeks, even if only on the fourth line, does mess with what the team has done - on a second night of a back to back, you need continuity in the lineup because if the legs aren't there, you need the chemistry and neither have been there

Also, after being benched the night before, Scott Hartnell has a three point night

I was at that travesty. That is what it was. I have to watch the goal replays again since the replays in arena were hard to see, but as for the rest ...
.... As much as I hate Torts...he is a good coach. He had a plan for who to attack the Flyers D and where to pressure forwards and it worked. Playing Jake with Vandy and Bellmare is a joke. G looked beyond frustrated at several points in the game....especially in the third. He spent nearly the entire TV time out away from the Flyers bench staring at the puck in the face off circle. His intensity was clearly there, his level of play was a little off, but again, he is teamed with Schenn and Raffl.
Simmonds looked very good...
Ghost looks great with the puck and passable without it.
Del Zotto and at times Schultz looked lost. Could just have been the Columbus pressure.
Bob looked very good (my seats were right by the goal line in the Flyers 1st and 3rd period attach). He was calm, and quick as all heck.

It is a shame that four well played games are followed by this. When a team is playing well consistently the odd stinker is accepted for what it is. I think that the Flyers didn't play THAT badly, but they were out coached and out worked when it was most important.

They both should have stayed in - Colin McDonald was impressive actually

To me, I know R.J. Umberger and Ryan White are established NHLers, but they aren't anywhere near star players or even important players to a team to the point where they get their friggin spots handed to them upon return from injury - I hope Ghost doesn't get sent down because of this same thing(although Mark Streit does deserve to be back in, just not at Ghost's expense) where they can't get effin' rid of players so that the real players deserve to be in

This was a pretty lifeless performance, especially throughout the first period. Bob stopped a few glorious chances, including maybe the save of the year on Read, but we really didn't pressure them enough. Not a single power play until midway through the third and then proceeded to get zero shots on two of them!?!

I would definitely get Voracek back on the top line asap and I sure hope we didn't somehow become worse of a team with two regular players returning from injury.

This one was a joke from the start, which continues our trend of rising to the occasion against strong teams and sitting back against bad teams. Completely forget it and move onto the next one. There's not much else to say.

Huge game against the NYI coming up.
