As truly dynamic as Ghost is offensively, we can definitely live with his occasional rookie mistakes defensively. G, Ghost and Voracek pretty much have the on-ice equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle out there on the power play. All defenders caught inside of it get lost...Lol

Nice first period, just a poor effort by Voracek defensively on the penalty kill and a bad bounce in front.

Someone should seriously make a graph/chart of how often we as a team give up a goal in the final minute of the first period, which subsequently leads to a slow start and/or early goal given up in the second and the eventual loss. I saw nothing really meaningful for the remainder of the game aside from Giroux and Simmonds stepping up and showing some balls.

It's pretty embarrassing how giving up one lousy goal at a bad time completely destroys the psyche, confidence and essentially rips the heart out of the entire team moving forward.

Also, I hate to get on Mase, but that's a really weak game winner to give up. He MUST stop that particular shot.

Whoops, I meant on the power play obviously. He's a forward at the point, I get it, but he can't let a guy skate right around him and drive the puck to the net. That's a capital Joke there by Jake.
