But yours led to a win.
And I took my start in stride.
Time for the next man up.

I'll stay loose for a game 3* :salute:

hoping for a ton more offense from the m's tomorrow...pretty sure we're going to need it.
I agree

I think it is a mistake starting Ray over Gilbert

Look at their each past 7 starts: Gilbert ERA is near 2 and Robbies is closer to 4.

I know for a fact Ray has had 2 really bad starts lately, the past 3-4 weeks. Gilbert has been steady solid and improving as the season progresses and actually getting stronger.

I hope I am dead wrong and Robbie slays them tomorrow.

Or just hope Ray shows up as well as Luis did.
I was just saying it because of the Jays' propensity to hit sliders well this season. He pitched good enough against them in his last matchup, though, and it was low-scoring, so I have a lot of hope.

I actually do have faith in Ray tomorrow, but I don’t believe Jerry’s projected rotation. If Ray struggles, who is coming in, Kirby or Gilbert? And I will say the only negative is Scott let Munoz go back out for the 9th essentially eliminating him for tomorrow. In the past month, outside of Brash, which other reliever do you want in a pressured moment? (refuse to say high leverage)

I suggested they bring Munoz back in for the 9th and I like that move. Secure game one and deal with 2 and 3 if/when needed. Those others are going to have to come through at some point or we won't be around long anyways.

.255 42 Homers vs LH 1112 AB's
,266 158 Homers vs RH 4443 AB's

I guess there is a slight advantage using a lefty. I still think Gilbert is the better option, but not totally lost I guess.

I have to imagine Gilbert is going Sunday if needed.

For sure, but if Ray starts to struggle wouldn’t it make more sense to bring him in? The only thing I really question is I really is Servais was honest he would want it to have been Castillo, Gilbert and Kirby but Ray is the reigning Cy Young winner. No idea how true it is but from what I read the Blue Jays murder left handed pitching. If they can put them away as early as possible. Gilbert had a great last start and Kirby not so much, but which of the two do you want being the first starter in the ALDS.

No idea, but god damn I love the idea of looking past the next game.

But are you going to put him in tomorrow if needed? That is my only concern. If Sewald or Castillo couldn’t hold a 4 run lead then the Mariners are doomed. They can’t run the whole playoffs with Munoz and Brash. And if any type of game I’d want Castillo it would’ve been the 9th with the Jays lineup. We got to remember we got a solid lefty in the pen now with Marco.
